It was in 1992 that Gilles Lajoie created his general transportation company in Napierville, on the South Shore of Montreal. Committed to offering outstanding customer service and meeting all of its clients’ requirements, he quickly secured his company with a reputation for excellence.

Today, more than 25 years later, his two sons Alain and Patrick have taken over the company. They continue to provide the same reliable, on-time and well-organized transportation services that have made EGL known.

With 85 employees and a fleet of 190 trucks and trailers, Entreprise G. Lajoie enjoys a leading position in the general transportation industry in Canada and in the United States.

In 2017, in order to diversify our operations and offer a wider choice of service within our company, EGL acquired Fournier Transport Inc. in Sherrington, Qc., wich specializes in regional intermodal transportation.

This acquisition allowed us to increase our fleet of 12 trucks and 50 trailers, mainly consisting of 2 and 3 axles container chassis of all lenghts, also 3 axles refrigerated trailers, closed trailers and food tanks.
